To protect your print and ensure a long life, purchased artworks should be handled carefully.
1. Handling the printed side : any pigment cover on the artwork should never be touched by bare hands even if you are wearing protective gloves. Your print is on matte paper and any slight imperfections will show up. The same goes for the white space around an image as well. Any slight scuffs or changes to surface structure can show up on prints.
2. Your print has been carefully wrapped to provide full protection of the print. If you are getting the print professionally framed then it is wise to allow the framer to remove it from the packaging when discussing framing options with them.
3. As your artwork has been printed onto a matte fine art paper, discuss with your framer about adding a protective spray layer to the artwork. These clear sprays are fast drying and non-yellowing providing a clear protective layer to the inks on the paper.
4. Always hang your artwork in a cool and dry space within your home or workplace out of direct sunlight or overly bright conditions. Should this not be possible then you may wish to consider using UV glass to further protect your artwork during the framing process.
