Trans Mongolian Railway - TOM ROE

This image was shot in 2010 in Northern China during a rail trip from Beijing to Ulan Bator in Mongolia. The train took us on a fascinating journey though many different landscapes but it was the huge scale of industrial architecture that I found most interesting. I had planned to visit the area again in 2020 to see how the landscape had changed in this rapidly developing part of the world but the trip was postponed due to Covid. I now hope to return in 2023.
