Terra Melancholia No. 4 - Damien Kook

“From the first time I visited the Little Desert I've felt an affinity with this hard-won National Park in north-west Victoria. I return here regularly - solitarily and for up to a week at a time - and with each visit this biologically diverse landscape reveals previously unseen facets of itself.

Evening twilight in the Australian bush is at once fleeting but at the same time it is slow and pensive. It is unavoidable and gently demands being contemplated. This serene melancholy is what I return to again and again.”
