“Photographs of buildings can acknowledge much more than the buildings themselves — neighbouring structures, the landscape, people, etc — and can be considered from objective and subjective standpoints. As such, they can act as personal and collective landmarks.

In this photograph, the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma acts as counterpoint to a contemporary interior space (someone's new home) whilst instinctively reminding Mallorcans (wherever they may be) of the place they call 'home'.”
